![]() G,day all. I hope this is in the right area, I'm new at this.
I am going to fit the infinity retract and therefore am going to make a central fuel tank where the main gear would ordinarily be. I know a few of you guys out there have done this. I am after some info like, how much extra reinforcing was added, were the aileron control tubes just boxed in where they pass throught the gear bulk heads, what size fuel pipe was used from the outer tanks to the inner, and where were the entry points made, where was the outlet from the centre tank taken from, what type of sealant(if any) was used inside the tank. Look forward to hearing from someone. Regards Stuart |

![]() Austdent;
I built a central sump tank that now occupies the hell hole. The tank is not part of the aircraft structure, but is a stand alone tank that is floxed to the floor of the hell hole. I converted to downdraft cooling, so this freed up more area in the hell hole. (no more NACA scoop on the bottom of the plane) This sump has a built in divider so that its actually two separate sumps, left and right. There are fittings installed so I could install a crossover tube that would effectively tie the two sumps togetehre, if I decide to do this. The sump also serves as part of the back seat. There is no interference with the existing flight controls. If I were going to do this again, I would make the tank a little narrower or make provisions to run a 2 inch SCAT tube (Heat from oil cooler) between the tank and the fuselage wall. Look at my web site: http://www.iflyez.com/LongEZ_Retrofit_APR_05.shtml http://www.iflyez.com/fuel_system.shtml Scroll down, and also look at the opther pages. This will give you an idea of how I did it. Waiter
