Default Recent Poll Results

Hey guys and gals!

Recently we took a poll on which type of landing gear you preferred for your plane. Between the two choices of fixed gear, the Featherlite was the overwhelming choice of this forum over Aerocad. Can anyone explain the difference or differences to me? I'm about to purchase my main gear, and I don't want to make a decision I may regret later.

Regards,

The biggest difference is that the Featherlite gear is available. The Aerocad gear isn't. Basically you have two choices for off-the-shelf gear for a Cozy. Featherlite fixed, or retracts from Infinity Aerospace, and I'm not sure "off-the-shelf" is the right term for Infinity these days. Some have waited a long time for their gear.

Until I get the Infinity gear that I ordered in spring 2004 (from "I have them in stock" to "just working on mailing them out" to "maybe in November" to "I have the last four sets, just working on assembling them" to nothing but silence.) I wouldn't put the Infinity gear in the list of choices...

Hey all,

I recently saw in "Kitplanes" the Titan P-51 (T-51?) was using a retractable gear setup. Perhaps those of you much closer than me to needing them could check and see if they are available, would work easily enough, and are priced less than Infinity's setup.

Good luck.
