Default Re: Dusts Headers

Last evening I went to the hanger to make the last 2 f'n cuts with jig number 3.

DRILLED THE HOLD DOWN BOLTS IN THE MIDDLE OF WHERE THE TUBE GOES.

Went home and started on jig # 4!

Jig 1 failed because of bad hold down strap on small cuts
Jig 2 cut in two pieces cause i was brain dead and went talkin on a plane problem while band saw was a cuttin.
Jig 3 drilled hold down bolts and floxed in place in wrong place

TWO MORE CUTS, JUST TWO MORE

Wish i could say the "jigs up", but that does not fit, jigs done does, and tonight i'll use it HOPEFULLY for the last time.

That is if we don't muck a piece of silly expensive 321 Stainless in Welding

Well, the headers from the cylinders to the 3 into 1's are 90% welded. Next some bed mount mods for clearancevand next weekend

HANG THE ENGINE AND FINISH THE MOUNT.

Then all sorts of things get rolling

mount turbos, pipe from three into one to turbo, from turbo to near prop.

make two intercoolers, plumb from turbo to intercooler, plumb from intercoolers to IM

make f'n cowling
