You are missing the point. It is Steve'she authorship way of "signing" the authorship of the photos. See his other photos in the forum, they are very easy to recognize.

Well Buly, I was hoping to meet you while I was there but didn't.

You must have been nearby by though because you got a picture of me.

Here are the pictures that I took.

Default Jenny Photo's

Here are a few stills I took today of a Jenny that's being restored. It's been in a barn since 1926 in several pieces and was purchased off E-Bay a little over a year ago, 95% of the plane was in good to excellent condition. All the rigging was put on and the engine and prop (original will be used) were hung, plus a LOT of other work. Next step is to take it completely apart and cover it wih cloth then reassemble for a flight, which is expected in early spring and hopefully I'll get a ride after the first few test flights are done. She's located in Hood River Oregon and will live in a new museum being built at HR airport.

After reading all the bitc.....uh, discorse over gear geometry, THANKS. Those pictures of the ol' Jenny made me smile. Wow, what a great slice of history. "It's a good thing"

Imagine their surprise when they discovered that 1/4 of that wing area would suffice.

Thanks to the folks who took photos at RR and other events. Very nice to see it all.

That's amazing, I'm wondering. On a visit of my then wifes grandparents in Prineville Oregon (central Oregon), I offered to take her grandfather for a ride in my rented Piper Archer. He declined and explained himself with this story. As a young man he considered taking flying lessons and went for an intro ride. The aircraft was a Curtis Jenny and the pilot was an ex_WWI flyer. So I assumed the time period was the late 19-teens or 1920's The guy did a number of aerobatic maneuvers on that intro ride apparently to see if the client had the right stuff. The client got sick and chose to never ride in an aircraft again.
