Thanks Dennis, yea, it turned out to be larger than I thought, there was so much good conversation I just couldn't see cutting it out, even though I did have to cut some out. That's the nice thing about DVD's pick the parts you want to watch and skip the rest.

It's done interview style. For example a couple of the interviews the pilots sit in the plane and I ask questions off camera and you see video of their plane. Then with Jack's plane and others, we walk around the plane sorta "This Old House" style talking about their aircraft and with all the new work Jack's doing I see a part two DVD coming. It's the same style when I interview Robert and Valerie Harris at their hanger. In the flying segment I chose to not have any narration or music, besides I can't afford Enya's prices. I have tons of music but I thought the natural sounds make it more enjoyable. You can always put on your favorite music. You'll see what I mean when you hear Jack's Eracer or Colby Farmer's Cozy go screaming by right overhead. Even the air to air shots of Nat's plane you get to listen in on the conversation between him and us, what little there is.

Bruce, did you get the time to produce a trailer for the net? A really short one would be good enough.

Sorry about that previous music rant. When I referenced rock & the p-51 on the wings program they even applied it to scenes from WWII, one in particular I could remember was the guys standing on the wing loading ammo and the music was their 'Wings heavy strumming' stuff rather than the 40's era music I'm accustomed to with images from that era. I can appreciate how music helps stitch the flying scenes together when the sounds jump around. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing the DVD.

I just called Spruce. Ask for the DVD "In Pursuit of Flight". $42.50 + S&H It looks like their expecting them August 4th.

Bruce is that date firm? I'll be moving at the end of August and that doesn't give us a lot of wiggle room.

thanks

I'll be shipping out an order for them on Monday or Tuesday. I would expect them to have them ready by then if not sooner.

OK, I got my 2 disc DVD in the mail yesterday, i give it 4 stars, It made me feel really good about building a cozy and not a long ez, I watched someones wife stuffing duffel bags into luggage pods on the wings, because they had no room inside. also some of the flying inside teh Cozy that was videod with 2 people showed shoulders overlapped, so now I am sold on a slight widening .

The jet was sweet, but 45 GPH is not sweet . so that will be a dream i never realize in this lifetime.

overall it was enjoyable and well worth the money .

How is the second disc? I got to watch the first DVD before we left the states, but didn't have time to watch the second. We shipped it with our household goods and I'm beginning to think the disappeared 'down under'. 93 days and counting....
