Default Lights in the pattern

Light up your plane in the pattern and on the ground - you bought those strobes, recognition, taxi, landing and position lights. TURN EM ON

Maybe they would have stopped the recent accident in Florida, i dunno, but i can sure see planes in the pattern and on final and taxiing around when they have lights a flashin

Dust I totally agree.. I went up for a bi annual flight review today and when I went to turn on the strobes and nav lights the instructor stopped me by saying "they are not needed for daytime flight". I think this is preached by the flight schools in order to save money on replacement bulbs.

I say use em that’s what they are for

Yep - cost over safety

I'm gonna get rid of my whelan regular strobe and position lights and go diode. Those strobe lights are about 100 buckaroos each.

My taxi and landing lights are Zenon - no filaments to burn out

Spend money on safety
