Default Rules and Regulations for Bahamas

What are the restrictions for flying experimental aircraft in the Bahamas. Just interested since it is only a little over 1 hour from Florida. Thanks!

From Bahamas.com

What about experimental aircraft?
You must submit a request by fax to Nassau Civil Aviation along with a copy of your Special Airworthiness Certificate, Registration and Experimental Operating Limitations. Fax 242-377-6060, information 242-377-3445.

I see it on the web site, but my understanding was that they'd dropped that requirement, and you can now fly Bahamas in an experimental just as you woudl a certified plane. Am I wrong?

13 more hours, plus 30 minutes for the flight and I could BE in Nassau.

Not any more. From the EAA web site (you must be a member to view this):

http://members.eaa.org/home/homebuil...omebuilts.html

All you need is a filled out form (available on the web page) carried in the plane.

If all goes well this year, I'll be able to report back on whether this works, because I'm planning to head over to the Bahamas (after Key West) with Curt Smith after S&F.
