Jeff... if you read what I said in the post right above yours, that is how it works. It may sound complicated, however it is really simple.

ok, that makes sense, but i know the spring is tensioned when the gear is up. is the spring stretched vertically or horizontally???

what irritates me the most about this, is that i used to OWN a velocity 173RG and for the LIFE of me cant remember how it worked!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for the pics..i have seen them before as well.

what i need, to make my brain understand, is a video of the retraction sequence....

like i said, i used to own one of these darn things and cant remember how it works...however, i think they would be the best suited for a cozy, etc....maybe even a long-ez..
