Default Leading white space deleted

Dust

Is there a way to perserve leading white space in a post? It seems to get deleted. (The dreaded whitespace censorship!) Would be handy when entering a formula. For example:

mass
density = -----------
Volume

comes out with the leading white space preceding the word "mass" and "volume" deleted.

Should look something like this:

.................mass
density = -----------
................Volume

except the "." should be whitespace.

This is may be just a configuration setting that needs to be made in the bulletin board software this forum is hosted on.

If you use the code modifier (use it instead of quote, it takes no arguments though), it prints things in a monospaced font. You'll need to count your spaces carefully, but it allows ACSII art without any problems.

Code:
          Mass
Density = ------
          Volume

And if you embed one code block inside another you get a scroll box like this:

Code:
Code:
     y
x = --
     z

where y = mass
      z = volume
      x = density

ok you put "[ CODE]" from the pound sign button and type in the text you do not want changed then then "[ /CODE]" to end it from the exact same button

I had to add the leading space to get it to show up

Found a list of vBulletin codes by searching in the FAQ on this forum. I don't know if they are all enabled or not.

If you scroll down on the page, it gives useful examples.

If HTML were allowed you could just use the <pre> </pre> tags. Hint Hint Dust ;-)
