Just a suggestion. We could use some input on this.

Waiter ........ what do you think about that?
should not it then be a wright flier?

ANOTHER thing Steve and I have in common. It's all falling into place.

Steve, have you, by any chance, noticed that throughout life, you're generally not left alone with sharp objects or sticky tape? Or was that just me?

I've always been partial to the "shoulder patch" design/look for any aviation related logo. The pref is probably a holdover from my USAF days as we had a patch for everthing, even belly dancer night at the NCO club.
I'm just getting started building a modified Long out of the Open-EZ project. Above is the Logo/Patch I designed for my Builder's Web Log site. The patch is specific to my site, the logo at center is specific to the Open-EZ project as I see it. I plan on having lots of CG parts flying around with me at some point, if someone comes up with a CG patch style logo, I'll probably have one sewn to something.

HatSwitch - Am I missing something or you do not realize that it says "E5" in the middle of that logo and not "EZ"?

Ah, I see you fixed it. Glad I could help before you had patches made. That would have been embarrassing.

heh heh heh - looks cool

side note, my sister in law is a customs officer, she hates all the patches that come along, the men love them.

her opinion, the men don't have to sew them on!

Thank you Minckler.
Nothing needed to be “fixed”, but the sarcasm of your critique did give me pause since that little detail so quickly jumped out at you as an unrealized typo, I just simplified the image by switching it out as not to be a focal distraction. The EZ at logo center was crafted both ways and what you first saw will most likely end up the keeper (not easily embarrassed). The inverted Z originally noted was a design element symbolic of a couple of things: The Open-EZ project mirrors the Long - The aircraft’s dynamic performance through the role axis. (Actually, I was just flipping switches and tossing wrenches around in PhotoShop and thought, “That looks cool, it MUST have a greater meaning!”) As an artsy plus, the mirrored/inverted Z also had a cool arrowhead symmetry with the center stroke sloping inward toward the canard nose equal and opposite the slope of the “E”. Finally, as a bonus, an inverted Z would probably serve as a spectator-type early warning system if my project ever evolved to sit with a logo placard in static display. With all those Z’s in there, was there really a question as to what it was? Now with this simpler version, I’m just hoping nobody notices the Z at center looks more like an ironed-on 2 than a crisp-rolling-fast-moving artsy 5.

Either way, it’s all good. Thanks for the input.

Thanks Chrissi – My checks are holding short ready for an east departure. . .

Thanks Dust
