Default google sky

Completely unrelated to canards, but still very much worth mentioning.

Google released a new version of google earth, it has a tool called google sky. It’s just like earth in how you can pan and zoom waaaay in. Except its of the sky, constellations, nebula, galaxies, etc. There are a lot of hubble images that you can click on and get pictures that hubble has taken as well. There is also a lot of educational content.

Very cool, one of the best things I have ever seen, period.

Actually, what may be even cooler and of interest to this group is the hidden, or at least, undocumented, flight simulator. It's not quite FS X yet (OK, not even close), but for free it's pretty cool. And you can fly over your own house. You need to download GE 4.2 (http://earth.google.com/) if you aren't already using it and you get to the flight simulator by Ctrl-Alt-A.

Have fun!
