Default Matco Brakes

I am getting ready to order my brakes for chapter 9.
Where is the best place to order the complete works? I would like to get everything needed in one stop, (wheels, axles, calipers, master cylinders, resivours, (sp )etc....) Tires and tubes maybe later, it would be nice to find a set of old ones just for the building process. suggestions here? I am not opposed to putting new on if I can keep them in good shape.
Is JD at Infinity the best price?
Wicks? ACS?
If I have to shop around, does someone who has already gone past this point have the complete parts list that I will need.
Also the newest and best way to install. I am thinking horizontal cylinders like Marc and Wayne and...and...and

Thanks
Kraig

Kraig,

I'm not sure on the exact pricing, but JD is certainly the easiest. Just call him and say you want the "full monty". He also sells the top of the line Michlin tires and non-pourous tubes. Make sure you're comparing the same part numbers when doing the price comparison at other vendors.

Following my experience taxiing in circles, I wouldn't recommend order the parking brake.

I sent JD an email yesterday asking about turnaround time. Not really interested in waiting a long time for my "full monty" (great movie) as John says. Anyone have experience here before I dole out a few quid?

I'll be talking to him later today. It may be a bad time right now due to the fact that they are packing to prepare for Osh. He will be in town here next wek so if I don't catch him before, I can then.

JD generally has the best price on those and turns around the order quickly.

I talked to him last week and he said they had the EAA store their booth and stuff so that they will not need help schlepping stuff to the exhibit hall on Sunday.

We'll be up there thursday morning.
Regards, Chrissi

I would suggest giving him a call in the afternoon. JD gets thousands of emails per day (one of the penalties of having your email address on the web due to spammers.)
I always use Skype to contact him (see www.Skype.com) that way the call is free.

Do you have access to a comuter?
Download Skype (www.skype.com).
You can call him from there.

I was in Puert Vallatra las Feb. Skype was my link to my family while I was there. As a matter of fact, I lost my cell phone day one . I used Skype to cancel my service and get another phone ordered.

I'm talking to him today. Do you want me to order it for you?

It just occurred to me that that might be a pretty stupid question!
How else are you posting.

Actually at the time we got a better package price from JD on all our wheel and brake stuff, we usually research everything before we buy. That was a few years ago at least.

I used Skype for awhile then Karoliina got me to try Googletalk, all I can say about it is WOW. I ave talked to Karoliina while she was walking her dog and she was using her cool Nokia tablet, then I started talking to a friend in the UK who used her desktop PC and the quality is way WAY better than my cell phone.

I used skype for while to talk to my wife when she was in Asia on business. We have since switched to Yahoo's voice stuff. We like it and it has much less spyware than Skype.

I did talk with JD and ordered his Matco "C" package. He estimated I would have them next week.
