Default I'm a little new to this...

I've just signed up!

I have a set of Long-EZ plans, and I'm planning my build. It's great to look at so many builders websites and logs, it really gives me motivation.

I'm a flight instructor based in Merrit Island. Are there any Long-EZ builders or flyers nearby that might let me take a look at their project?

I'm just getting started on my Long-EZ so, hopefully, we can bounce Ideas off of each other and off of the forum.

Merrit Island has a very proactive EAA chapter. That Chapter actually has the goal of building planes, not just jawing about them. They are VERY Z friendly. Go to one of the chapter meetings and introduce yourself. They'll get you up and running in a hurry. They'll help you, keep you motivated, and rise your butt until you're finished and flying.

Island Junkie, You are in a proverbial hotbed of Long EZ history and activity. Johnny Murphy is there building a Cirris VK-30 right now. He built one of, if not the first, Long EZ at the same time Mike Melville was. He is "The Man" down here. He has built over a dozen Glass aircraft in the past 30 years. There are lots of Long EZ's at MI. There were I'm told 10sets of plans ordered back in the 80's. Jack R. is there, he cut his canard cores a few weeks ago. I cut half of mine last night. Ted has one that was flying until he was shot down a few years ago. He's again taxi testing. Russ is pretty much done with the major components and is working in the details but a bit short on cash right now. Tom is flying. There is a flying Cozy and a Defiant. Come to the meeting upstairs on Wednesday at 1900hrs May 9th.schedule is at
Hey I need to get my Bi-enniel completed.
See you soon, Don.
