![]() I have no idea where to post this, so...
Winter flying? Cold stick? Grip heater(s)! We use these on mo-cycles a lot. Some types are a thin 'flex' sticky-backed circuit board, and will wrap around a .65" - .1" stick. If the heat will migrate to the surface of the grip, or if the heat will deform hard plastic?? Guess that's why it's called Experimental Aviation ![]() Symtec is one brand name, there's more. About 35w on high, 20w on low, per side at 14v. Use a PWM controller, and it's infinite. Rick |

![]() Rick, I'm going to take a wild guess here.
On your bike your grips/hands will start cold and remain cold due to exposure. In a plane your grips/hands will start cold and warm up due to A. heat and B. body heat.. unless you have the plans leaky access door. I am guessing that in the plane you do not have the level of heat loss that your hand has from exposure. ...Chrissi

Was working on a grip kit for bikes last night, and remembered someone writing up (in the forum/canard wiki?) about using electric clothes, thought I'd post here ![]() My concern is Infinity type grips, not sure what they're made from, may soften. Edit: Kinda like heated seats in a luxury car. Nice at first, but you'd eventually turn them off ![]() Rick Last edited by ZG4Me : 12-12-2006 at 12:20 PM. |
