I'm beginning to think I'm writing in something else too.

Actually I know only a few dozen words, and I haven't any idea how to write them.

My Velocity project waiting for engine. I try to order Deltahawk engine, but just return money from this company after 1.5 year waiting Now I ordered Subaru from Crossflow. We have some troubles with 100LL gasoline in Russian airports and I want to use for Velocity auto benzine or diesel fuel for easy cross country flights. First Velocity take about 2 years for building 5 day per week 8-10 work hours in a day. We have not expirience in aircraft building, no nearest builded Velocity samples, different language in manuals and no any experts around. Some questions take weeks to answer. Some parts from Velocity go to trash and fully rebuilded. Some assembling technologies totaly changed. Some new parts developed and produced. Now we understand how to build Velocity better . It's really beatiful airplane with perfect construction, we just make it little bit more perfectly!

Now in Russia more and more experimentals. I think several hundreds. Registration process is easy. I get my registration numbers only for 2 mounth. One year ago registration take about half year. I have a good friends who building RV's. This team have 2 builded RV's and 6 RV's in stock. Some kits now solded to another builders. We collect your expirience. At last Sun'n Fun airshow we have a group from 8 russian aviators. At Oshkosh we expect group in 10-15 persons.
25-28 may I go to our small airshow in Kaluga city for first time demonstrate my Long-EZ.

Sorry for answers delay. We have big time difference. 8 hours with Florida and more with California.

You can write me in english. It's better for another forum users.

Thank you for your interest!

Your crew really needs to go to Rough River. 75 canards there last year.

Yes, Rough River is the place to be if you want to see, talk (and ride) canards.

See http://roughriver.org

Pity it's only officially a weekend, but I gather that quite a few canard drivers are arriving days early or leaving late and turning it into a week long thing.

Hey! Y'know what? I think Mike knows some Russian.
Yeah! I use "worldlingo", better than "babblefish" translator. So, Dmitry, what are the requirements to certify your experimental airplane? What are the requirements to become a certified pilot?

Is it actually possible to fly out of Russia into Western Europe?

What are the requirements to certify your experimental airplane?
To certify experimentall aircraft -
- prepare all technical data and drawings (airplane, control units, electrical wiring diagram and other)
- fill some registration forms
- flight user manual
- maintenance manual
- users manual for avionics, radiostation, xponder and other devices
- check avionics in laboratory
- develop special programm for certifying exact aircraft type.
- produce evidence your own aircraft

After all forms ready and information in forms checked in our FAA ask for inspectors visit. If inspectors found airplane ready for first flight I need to get temporary registration numbers and permission for flight tests. Flight tests in my country can do only test pilots. Don't ask me who make first flight ...

Before first flight I need to fill weight and balance form.

After flight tests finished I will get permanent registration numbers and airwortness certificate. Difference between our countries in quantity of papers and quantity of flight hours to be certifyed. We have more paper and less flight hours.

===================
What are the requirements to become a certified pilot?

Minimum 42 flight hours, some exam and medical certificate.

===================
Is it actually possible to fly out of Russia into Western Europe?

It's possible, but it's head ache.

Default At Sun n Fun

Hello Dmitry,

I met you at the Sun n Fun Computer Forum! Remember the computer in the back of the hanger with the composites and sheetmetal forums also. I feel important now I know people from all over the world .

Tell us about some large airshows that you have in Russia that we might be able to come and visit! Are they all military or do they have an experimental one yet? I've always wanted to visit and what better excuse would I need than an airshow. Do you think my wife will buy that?

Bob

2 1282:
I'm another Dmitry. Our biggest airshow is MAKS. Next International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2007 will be held in August 21 – 26, 2007. You can find information about it on english here: http://www.aviasalon.com/en/

Experimental aircraft airshow is small.

Hi Dmitry. Even I can read some of the words from the website, at the level of a child just starting to read and sounding out the letters. Didn't see pics. Nice to see you guys get to enjoy civil aviation over there.
