Default Hi from Western Australia

Hi all, first post from me in Australia. I have made another post in the 'questions only newbies would ask' forum, but just dropped in here too to say Hi. I plan to do some serious brain picking folks so please bear with me knowing nothing at all about canard types.......yet

No question is an "old" question. No question is a stupid question. No need for appologizing for asking an old question.

Most of what i have learned came on the 2,3,4,5,6 time the subject was talked about.

Yeah, I would much rather answer/ask a "dumb" question than fix a dumb mistake.

Hello Sandgroper. I spent a bit of time in WA myself in the '80s, in Perth, Meekatharra & Port Hedland. Whereabouts are you? Bought the Long yet?

Its not that I'm looking for somewhere to stay for the Red Bull Air Race or anything...

He is outback chasing that darn roo! I am sure the questions will start soon.

In being a fly on the wall and continuing to read the historical posts in this room and others, I would welcome you as I have been welcomed. But, I caution you to grow a thick skin.., contrary to common belief, the boys tend to jump all over you if the opinions stray from fact. Ouch! Did I say that.

I was wrong on my last post. I meant that I had been dreaming about a 'rotary' not a 'radial' engine. Also, thanks Dennis for giving me advise on thinking about jumping a few chapters by finding someone else's tub. I just found one that I will be looking at this weekend. Any advise as to what things I would see that would either pursuade me to purchase the 'package' or not? I figure if the guy has kept a good log and the craftmanship looks good, that hits most of what I am looking for.

The log would be useful, but you still have heaps more than 51% to go so registration will not be a problem if it doesn't exist. Check out material substitution, as ASS is a long way and a lot of dollars away.

Make sure there are plans, and don't pay too much.

Make sure it is a Mark IV
