![]() As Wayne Hicks recommended....
http://www.airtechintl.com They have peel-ply available in 60" x 25yd rolls... Ordered a roll of Econo-Ply J.. cost was 47.25 before shipping. $1.89/yd.. sure beats the $3+/yd that Wicks and AS&S wants. I ordered it on Monday, and it was here by Wednesday.

Steve, is it bulk material or are you just buying shower curtain liners from the bath section? I had bought some material from walmart that worked great however when it ran out I couldn't remember the kind of material I had. So today I ended up with 50% poly and 50% rayon, it doesn't work the material is to weak and doesn't release very well.

![]() i had trouble asking for this as it is a trade name and the places did not know what it was.
i bought many materials that seemed right, a couple were not and caused us GREAT big problems, like 9 hours to remove stuck peel ply on a turtle back wrinkles that left a very poor surface. I will never sub it again and try to save money that way, cost me too much saving a few bucks Really liked the zebra stuff - it bled in the epoxy and left my bird striped ![]()

![]() I bought some polyester from Walmart also and applied it to a layup.
I guess it cannot be considered peel-ply if it doesn't peel. It is more like "permanent ply". I could not lift an end off to get the peel going. It kept on breaking off in small pieces. I tried sanding it, but it comes off in strands, creating lots of dust and fibers. I could not see whether I was sanding cloth or glass. I guess the lesson here is not to save a buck at all cost. Redoing the layup will cost me (marginally) more than just paying for the right stuff. ![]() |
