Default Installing an engine

Well, the first thing i did was go to john slades site as I remembered that he had found out where the engine is supposed to be, the result

prop flange 42" from firewall
level of prop 1.5 inches below top of longeron
degree offset, 1.5, prop higher than back of engine

as i am going 3" higher i'll contemplate the degree thing.

Also may have found a contributing factor, over and above the sagging gear, in many of johns prop strikes, his engine sagged quite a bit after the mount was made as he has his rubber isolation mounts on the firewall.

Just more internet speculation.

The weld flanges are done, the bolt holes in the firewall hard points are drilled and i am in the process of taking off as much as possible from the engine to make it easier to transport.

progress, albeit slow is continuing.

Dam, just remembered what i forgot to do, check the flatness on the inside for the washers to rest on, the outside was perfect.
